If you’re exploring Niagara-on-the-Lake on two wheels with Buzz Bikes, and you are looking for one of those charming hidden gems than look no further. Marynissen Estates is tucked just off the Niagara River Parkway and just a few minutes south of Old Town.

🍇 The winery was a family affair from the beginning. Although the founder John Marynissen has passed, and his family has sold the winery, he must be mentioned. John was a real pioneer. John and his wife Adrianna immigrated from the Netherlands and purchased the property in 1953. John was the first to plant Cabernet Sauvignon vines when most thought they couldn't survive in the Niagara climate. That original planting was the oldest commercial planting of Cabernet Sauvignon in Canada!

Over the decades, John won multiple awards for his wines, and Marynissen became a destination for red wine lovers all over the country.

Tastings are available daily from 10-6.

They have a private tent experience. An amazing way to book something extra special for your group.

Marynissen has Sangria flights, a variety of snack options, Icewine Floats, and Chocolate Icewine Shots!

This winery is also one of the most dog friendly in the area offering Dog Treat Flights! They are proud to feature local farm fresh pup snacks as a dog treat flight for our furry friends.

And on June 27 are featuring their annual Niagara Dog Rescue and Adoption day.

Marynissen sits just off Old Town, down the Niagara River Parkway and a few minutes from the Virgil Cluster.

It’s an especially fun route to tackle on one of our Buzz Bikes. The electric assist makes every mile effortless, so you can focus on the views.
